Buddh Poornima - A haiku Sequence by me and Angelee Deodhar

Buddh Poornima
A Haiku Sequence by Angelee Deodhar and Ajaya Mahala
[The odd #s by Angelee and the even #s by Ajaya]

moon watch -
an owl's hoot ripples into
our meditation

how mean I am
without you -  so vast
the moonlight

moonlit torment-
only shadows ,no footfall
endless wait

remembering you
a distant smudge darkens
the moonlight

my nose ring
catches moonrays
as you leave

drinking straw
a moonbeam reaches
the edge of  her cot

footsteps-
mother in law's keys
as we embrace

youthful  haijin
a calf testing its teeth

on rice straw

not so young now
still, through her specs

-a new moon
