Buddh Poornima - A haiku Sequence by me and Angelee Deodhar

Buddh Poornima
A Haiku Sequence by Angelee Deodhar and Ajaya Mahala
[The odd #s by Angelee and the even #s by Ajaya]

moon watch -
an owl's hoot ripples into
our meditation

how mean I am
without you -  so vast
the moonlight

moonlit torment-
only shadows ,no footfall
endless wait

remembering you
a distant smudge darkens
the moonlight

my nose ring
catches moonrays
as you leave

drinking straw
a moonbeam reaches
the edge of  her cot

footsteps-
mother in law's keys
as we embrace

youthful  haijin
a calf testing its teeth

on rice straw

not so young now
still, through her specs

-a new moon

Poem's Birth

separation
I look for any bleeding
in the fallen leaf
yet another poem waits
for its painless birth

Memory

holding her image

that slips away

I press the nib

again and again

 for the ink

Stories

I  tell her the stories

of all my escapades

one by one

the moonlight  registers

the fall of each leaf

Women in love -A haiku sequence

insanity -
she asks for
my childhood photos

diary pages
overwriting a name
she loves

no love moisture-proof
her cellphone kiss

chirping crickets -
her longings join
the clamour

alone -
moon is  also not there

monsoon clouds …
she adds one more year
to her age

newly wed
trying the Titanic pose
on a country boat

coffee shop
with her tall hubby
the  five- feet  girl

her love scribble
on back … a kiss follows
the last letter U

moulded chairs -
her plastic grip
in his every fold

Bougainvillea –
a thousand colours
of her love smile

Facebook –
her disenchantment
with the faces

wishing well -
she throws a coin
into her own void

suicide note
at the place of signature
a print of her kiss
