My rain Haiku

afternoon drizzle
a clear sky in the puddle
below the swing

coastal rain
idle excavators stand
on the sea-edge

evening rain
hillside shadows
running off

straight fall
from the roof—
dead rain

dissipated rain
dim flicker of lightning
in the distant sky

first  rain
on dusty roadside leaves
half-washed plates

summer buds
the story
of our suffering

hailstones—
do I live
a little longer?
